The doubles specialist wins in the first round of the US Open doubles with Petr Nouza (CZE) against Gonzalo Escobar (ECU)/Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha (IND) with 7:6(3), 6:7(4), and 6:2.
Initially, Oberleitner secured a 1-0 set lead after a close first set in the tie-break, before the ÖTV player narrowly conceded the set equalization after another tie-break.
Ultimately, however, Oberleitner and his Czech partner can celebrate a convincing victory in the third set.
