Alexander Zverev has reached the round of 32 at the US Open. However, it was a hard-fought journey.
The German was forced to go five sets again in the second round against Frenchman Quentin Halys, ultimately prevailing 6:4, 4:6, 7:6 (7:3), 6:7 (3:7), 6:3.
Zverev had already been forced to go the full distance in his opening match in the Big Apple against Italian Lorenzo Sonego.
In the round of 32, Zverev will now face Alejandro Tabilo from Chile.
