Austria to face Spain in Davis Cup Finals
The ÖTV team, led by captain Jürgen Melzer, will take on Spain in the quarter-finals in Bologna.
Austria's Davis Cup team will face Spain in the Finals of the top eight teams in November in Bologna.
The previous year's finalist was drawn as the quarter-final opponent for Captain Jürgen Melzer's ÖTV selection on Tuesday.
The Final 8 of the team competition will be held from November 24 to 29 on indoor hard court. Defending champions Italy will face South Korea, Germany will play Great Britain, and the Czech Republic will take on Canada.
Austria, with a line-up of Jurij Rodionov, Lukas Neumayer, Lucas Miedler/Neil Oberleitner, qualified for the lucrative Finals for the second time in a row with a 3:1 victory against Belgium in Vienna. Participation alone guarantees the team a minimum prize money of 500,000 dollars (436,300 Euros), 80 percent of which goes to the players.
