Johann Zarco is back!

Sooner than expected, the 35-year-old is making his MotoGP comeback after his severe crash at the Catalan GP. LCR-Honda announced this on Thursday.

It was only in May that the Frenchman crashed during the first restart in Barcelona, his left leg getting trapped between the rear wheel and fairing of Francesco Bagnaia's Ducati.

Many severe injuries resulted, including tears to the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments as well as the medial meniscus, an ankle injury, and burns.

Still No Green Light from MotoGP Doctors

The ligament injuries in the knee were treated conservatively. The earliest possible date for a return had initially been set for the Misano Grand Prix in mid-September.

However, due to significant improvement in the healing process, the veteran now wants to return to his bike in Aragon, Spain.

The medical check-up and the green light from the MotoGP doctors are still pending.
