Jorge Martin dominates MotoGP Saturday at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

In the morning, the Spanish World Championship leader secured pole position, which he converted in the afternoon into his 19th career Sprint victory. This puts him level with record holder Marc Marquez once again.

He relegated Ai Ogura of the customer team Trackhouse and teammate Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) to the remaining podium places. Bezzecchi had broken his collarbone and dislocated his shoulder at the Sachsenring before the summer break.

Disappointing Sprint for Marc Marquez

Alex Marquez (Gresini) was the first Ducati rider to finish in fourth place, directly followed by next year's KTM rider Fabio di Giannantonio.

KTM young star Pedro Acosta finished sixth, while Joan Mir piloted his Honda to seventh position. Franco Morbidelli (VR46-Ducati) and Marc Marquez (Ducati), who only managed a disappointing ninth place, also scored points.

Martin leads the World Championship by 17 points ahead of Ogura, with Bezzecchi in third place (-27 points).

The British Grand Prix will take place on Sunday (3:30 PM).
