Two-time MotoGP World Champion seals move to Aprilia
Following his departure from Ducati, the 2022 and 2023 World Champion will form a purely Italian team with Marco Bezzecchi at Aprilia in the future.
Francesco Bagnaia's move to Aprilia is official.
The Italian factory confirms the arrival of the two-time MotoGP World Champion for the 2027 season, with "Pecco" signing a four-year contract with the Noale-based team until 2030.
Aprilia is thus opting for a purely Italian team, with Bagnaia taking the second spot alongside current championship leader Marco Bezzecchi.
Martin set to depart
This also confirms that Jorge Martin will leave Aprilia after two years. The 2024 Spanish champion is expected to join Yamaha. This deal is set to be announced after the Dutch Grand Prix, which takes place this weekend in Assen.
Besides the strongest manufacturer of the season so far, only Ducati has finalized its lineup for 2027, with two Spaniards, superstar Marc Marquez and future hope Pedro Acosta, riding the Desmosedici.
