Report: Horner Set for Formula 1 Comeback
Almost a year after his departure from Red Bull, Christian Horner could return to Formula 1. A British racing team is reportedly courting the 52-year-old.
Is Christian Horner on the verge of a Formula 1 comeback?
According to the British "Daily Mail", the former Red Bull team principal is holding talks with Aston Martin. Team owner Lawrence Stroll is reportedly very interested in signing the 52-year-old Brit for a leadership role.
Horner was relieved of his duties last year after two decades at the helm of Red Bull.
Reunion with Newey?
At Aston Martin, Horner could be reunited with Adrian Newey. The star designer only moved to the British racing team a few months ago, but the team has so far fallen well short of high expectations this season.
According to the report, Horner is seen as a potential key for a sporting fresh start. However, whether an agreement will actually be reached remains open. Horner recently emphasized that a return to Formula 1 would only be an option for him under the right conditions.
