However, at the press conference before the start of the Austrian GP, the Briton not only looked forward but also back to the past.
Hamilton suffered pain for weeks
Hamilton spoke about his test crash in early 2025, which happened at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
"I hit the wall quite hard. In doing so, I injured the discs in my neck, which then pressed on a nerve. That's why I had severe problems for about nine weeks," "Motorsport-Magazin.com" quotes the seven-time Formula 1 world champion.
At the time, it was reported that Hamilton had remained unharmed. But the Ferrari driver had to contend with the consequences of the crash for a long time.
"I was at the chiropractor every day, in physiotherapy every day, and could barely sleep. I had to take painkillers and received injections," Hamilton said.
"I really tried everything to get the problem under control. But ultimately, I just had to live with it. Especially in the position we sit in the car, it was anything but easy."
