Rossi and Canucks clinch spectacular overtime win
The Vorarlberg native was unable to register a point during the comeback.
The Vancouver Canucks beat the Anaheim Ducks 6-5 in overtime after a brilliant final phase.
The game started off relatively quietly. Greer's first goal (16') sent the Ducks into the first intermission with a 1-0 lead. The second period did not go as planned for Rossi's team. Although they managed to equalize through Öhgren, they then conceded three goals and went into the final period trailing 1-4.
After two more goals and a score of 2-5, with seven minutes left, it looked like a sure defeat for the Canucks. A furious offensive surge at the end, with a goal from Oleksiak (53') and two from Lekkerimäki (58', 59'), nevertheless forced the game into overtime. There, the Czech Hronek became the match-winner on a power play, scoring the decisive goal (63').
A relief for Vancouver, who had previously lost ten games in a row. Marco Rossi had an ice time of 17:06 minutes, but was unable to register a point.
