Another Brace! Rohrer Remains in Top Form for EV Zug
Vinzenz Rohrer scores two goals in a game for the third time this season. He thus makes a significant contribution to EV Zug's dominant victory.
Vinzenz Rohrer prolongs his strong start at EV Zug.
The 22-year-old from Vorarlberg scores a brace in the 7:2 dominant victory against HC Lugano, his third in the eleventh game of the season. With a total of 13 scorer points, the ÖEHV star is EV Zug's top scorer.
His goal for 2:1 comes on a power play, Rohrer smashes the puck into the net after a pass from Kubalik (28./PP). In the final period, the Rankweiler extends the lead to 6:2 while falling, his shot still deflected by a Lugano defender (50.).
Zwerger Scores on Return to Ambri
Dominic Zwerger scores the interim equalizer for 2:2 on his emotional return to Ambri, his former team eventually prevailing against EHC Biel 4:3 after a shootout. Zwerger moved to Biel in the summer after nine years in Ambri.
Benjamin Baumgartner remains without a scorer point in SC Bern's 1:4 defeat against the ZSC Lions, as does Bernd Wolf in EHC Kloten's 7:4 victory against HC Ajoie.
The table is convincingly led by ZSC, who have lost only one of their 16 games so far. Baumgartner and Bern are in sixth place, Rohrer and Zug are eighth. EV, however, has only played eleven games this season. Biel is eleventh, and Kloten occupies the last place.
