This is the ÖEHV roster for the Deutschland Cup
Austria is participating in the traditional tournament in Germany for the fifth time. A total of 17 players from the World Championship in Zurich are included.
Austria's national ice hockey team is participating in the Deutschland Cup for the fifth consecutive time.
From November 5 to 8, the ÖEHV team will face host Germany (November 5, 7:45 PM), Slovakia (November 7, 3:00 PM) and Latvia (November 8, 11:00 AM) in Düsseldorf.
Head coach Roger Bader has nominated a total of 17 players from the 2026 World Championship in Zurich for the traditional tournament. Lukas Haudum, Benjamin Baumgartner and Oliver Achermann, who were out injured in Switzerland, are back.
The most prominent absentees from the ÖEHV squad are goalie Atte Tolvanen and the two key offensive players Peter Schneider and Dominic Zwerger.
"World Championship-caliber Team"
Head coach Roger Bader says: "The Deutschland Cup is a traditional tournament and I am very happy that we can participate again. We will play three games there against nations ranked above us. Games against such opponents make us better."
"As every year, we are competing with a World Championship-caliber team. It is the best possible team from the players available to us. I am particularly pleased that Lukas Haudum, Benjamin Baumgartner and Oliver Achermann are back after their injuries," says the Swiss coach.
