Blockbuster start to the league! The ICE schedule for the 2026/27 season
The new season kicks off with a well-established classic. Also right at the start is a final rematch. The entire schedule:
The new season of the win2day ICE Hockey League starts in 53 days.
The schedule for the opening weekend has been set since Friday: On September 18, Red Bull Salzburg will host KAC, HC Pustertal will host Graz99ers in a final rematch. And HC Bozen will face off against the Vienna Capitals.
On September 19, three matches are scheduled: HC Innsbruck will host the Capitals, Graz will travel to Pioneers Vorarlberg, and Fehervar AV19 will face Olimpija Ljubljana.
The first weekend will conclude the following day with matches between Bozen and Salzburg, KAC and Pustertal, as well as Black Wings Linz and newcomer HC Milano.
Early Carinthian Derby - and in Bischofshofen
The first Carinthian Derby will take place as early as September 23 in Klagenfurt, and the first international break is scheduled from November 2 to November 8.
The "Mountain Classic" is scheduled for the last weekend of January, an open-air event at the ski jumping hill in Bischofshofen. This will feature the Carinthian Derby and the duel between EC Red Bull Salzburg and Black Wings Linz.
The regular season comprises two home and away rounds, with a total of 52 games per team, and ends on Wednesday, February 24. The pre-playoffs start on February 28. Quarter-final game 1 is scheduled for March 7. The champion will be determined by April 23 at the latest.
Again this year, a total of 30 games will be broadcast on ORF - eight of them on ORF 1, the other 22 matches on ORF Sport +.
