Another Defeat! Salzburg Also Loses to VSV

Four games - four defeats!

EC Red Bull Salzburg continues to struggle to find its rhythm in the fourth round of the win2day ICE Hockey League. They now suffer a 2:4 home defeat against VSV.

Only Kalynuk managed a lightning-fast start to the game for the Red Bulls (2.). However, they subsequently failed to extend their lead, allowing the visitors to capitalize on their chances.

First, Hancock scored the deserved equalizer (25.), then Teasdale and Hughes completely turned the game around just a few minutes later (29./32.).

Although Schneider briefly brought the Red Bulls back into contention after an assist from Nissner (35.), Hughes restored the two-goal lead with his second goal (38.).

For VSV, it's an important victory, especially after suffering a painful derby defeat against KAC on Wednesday.

KAC Remains Flawless

Things are also going optimally for the Klagenfurt team in Round Four. KAC deservedly won 7:3 away against Olimpija Ljubljana.

Urbas actually put the hosts in front in the first period (17.). But after the break, the visitors turned up the heat: Hundertpfund (21.), Mursak (21.), Petersen (25.), and Schwinger (32.) established a clear lead.

Urbas's second goal in between made little difference (27.).

The final period saw more action: MacKinnon (42.), Hundertpfund (56.), and Mursak (57.) scored for KAC, while Lawrence scored for OLL (55.). It was victory number four in game number four for the Red Jackets.

Narrow BWL Victory

Black Wings Linz celebrate their second win of the season. The "Steel City" team defeated Pioneers Vorarlberg 5:3 in front of their home crowd.

The hosts started the game perfectly and quickly took a 3:0 lead with goals from Shaw (1./9.) and Romig (13.). However, the Pioneers showed resilience and equalized. Serdachny (26.), Murray (29.), and Immonen (30.) scored for the Vorarlberg team.

Knott (38.) and an empty-netter from Shaw (60.) ultimately made the difference and secured the home victory for the Black Wings.
