Spain too strong for U19 women - now Germany awaits!
The ÖFB U19 remained unrewarded against Spain in their final EURO group match, but a highlight now awaits them in the semi-finals.
The ÖFB Women's U19 (born 2007) lost 1:2 to defending champions Spain in their final European Championship group stage match.
With a guaranteed semi-final spot already secured, the Austrians conceded goals from Alba Cerrato (19') and Elene Gurtubay (43'). Emira Makalic scored the consolation goal with a header after a corner, but an equalizer could not be found.
In the historically first semi-final for an Austrian women's youth national team, the U19 women will face neighbours Germany on Tuesday, July 7.
