New Edition of Rap Song: "Haaland-Remix" Storms the Charts
An old rap song by the star striker has been re-released by Norwegian music producer "Kygo" – and is now conquering the charts.
Norway and Erling Haaland are making a big impact at the 2026 World Cup.
The Manchester City striker recently shone in the round of 16 against Brazil with a brace, knocking the Seleção out of the tournament. Now it's on to the quarter-finals against England (Saturday from 11 PM CET in the LIVE ticker>>>).
But now, it's not only Haaland's goals, but also his musical talents that are causing a stir.
Kygo Released "Haaland-Remix"
The well-known Norwegian DJ and music producer Kygo released a remix on social media of a ten-year-old rap song that Haaland himself had recorded with his then-teammates Erik Botheim and Erik Tobias Sandberg.
As Kygo explained on Instagram, the song "Kygo Jo" was created back in 2016. The 34-year-old reworked the track and announced that he would release the remix if Haaland scored in the World Cup round of 16 against Brazil. The Norwegian kept his word – and so did Kygo.
Following Haaland's goal, the musical re-release now followed, generating enthusiasm in Norway – and currently topping the domestic charts.
