Women's Bundesliga team LASK parts ways with head coach Markus Eitl.

The 51-year-old Upper Austrian had been in office since January 7, 2025. Under his leadership, the LASK women achieved an impressive comeback in the second half of their first Bundesliga season, which successfully concluded with securing league survival one round before the end.

In the following season, he led LASK to seventh place, and after the insolvency of USV Neulengbach, his team had nothing to do with relegation early on.

In the current season, the Linzers are lacking any consistency; in addition to two derby victories, they suffered several significant defeats, most recently a 0-5 thrashing against SK Sturm Graz.

Amir Topalovic will take over the team on an interim basis until the winter break. He will make his debut on Sunday against reigning champions FK Austria Wien.
