Austria Klagenfurt: Decision made on main sponsor TGI
The Waidmannsdorf club announces its future direction. Helmut Kaltenegger remains on board.
SK Austria Klagenfurt and TGI Gold are continuing their cooperation.
The Carinthian club made the announcement official in a press release on Monday. The company, led by the controversial Helmut Kaltenegger, remains the main sponsor of the Waidmannsdorf side.
"TGI AG and Helmut helped Austria in difficult times. For that, I am very grateful. I am all the more pleased that we are not only continuing our cooperation but expanding it further together. This long-term commitment is a strong signal for our club. Together, we want to achieve promotion again and at the same time invest sustainably in women's football and our youth development," says Vice-President Zeljko Karajica.
"Sustainable success begins with a strong foundation"
Kaltenegger, who recently made headlines due to raids and investigations against his company, also expressed satisfaction.
"We have supported Austria in recent years and helped the club. Now we want to continue working together to bring SK Austria Klagenfurt back to the top and establish it sustainably. TGI AG and I will do everything possible to achieve this goal as quickly as possible. At the same time, it is important to us to strengthen the entire club – from the first team to the women's team and youth. Because sustainable success begins with a strong foundation."
Following forced relegation from the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, Austria Klagenfurt will play in the Regionalliga Süd in the upcoming 2026/27 season.
