MLS player joins Salzburg Regionalliga club
FC Pinzgau Saalfelden signs a 31-year-old American who has appeared in 124 MLS games.
FC Pinzgau Saalfelden announces a transfer coup.
Andrew Brody is joining the Salzburg club. The 31-year-old American already wore the jersey of the Regionalliga Nord club in four games in 2019.
After that, the right-back made the leap to Major League Soccer (MLS), playing a total of 124 games there for Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City. He scored two goals and provided eight assists.
Player, Coach, Scout
Since January, Brody had been without a club and is now expected to guide the young team as a leading figure and pass on his experience to the talents of Campus Pinzgau. The American also supports the club as a coach and scout.
"Andrew knows our club and our philosophy. His return is an important step for us – both sportingly and for the further development of our youth work. He will take on an important role on and off the pitch," writes FC Pinzgau.
"Saalfelden has always been a special place for me," says Brody. "I am very excited to be back and to contribute my experience as a player, coach, and mentor."
