Another New Signing! BW Linz Snaps Up Striker from Augsburg
The Linzers are bolstering their offense with a U19 national team player.
FC Blau Weiß Linz announces its latest signing in this transfer window.
Mauro Hämmerle moves from FC Augsburg's reserve team to the steel city (Linz). The 18-year-old signs a contract until summer 2028.
Most recently, he played in the Regionalliga Bayern, making 15 appearances and scoring twice. For the Austrian U19 national team, he has made eight appearances so far, scoring a total of six goals.
Sporting Director Christoph Schösswendter commented on the new signing: "Mauro Hämmerle is a versatile, young Austrian attacking player who brings a lot of qualities and potential, especially in the final third. His first touch and his solutions on the ball, in particular, are exceptional for his young age."
