Done Deal! New Midfield Talent for Blau Weiß Linz

18-year-old Lukas Fabian moves from the Red Bull Academy to relegated Bundesliga side Blau-Weiß Linz.

Fabian signs a contract with Linz until summer 2027. The Upper Austrian returns to his youth club with this move.

Sporting Director Christoph Schößwendter primarily wants to promote Fabian: "He has made a very good impression over the last two weeks, and we are convinced that he will make further development steps with us. To carefully introduce him to senior football, he will also regularly play for our amateur team and gain match practice there."

Head coach Michael Köllner is also convinced of his potential: "We see his current training and development status, his potential, and consequently want to offer him a perspective with us. He comes from our youth academy and grew up in the Linz area. Lukas showed promising approaches in central midfield; we will continue to work intensively with him and trigger his next development steps."
