Jürgen Klopp Unveils XXL DFB Squad
The new national coach presents two squads for the four Nations League matches.
Jürgen Klopp causes quite a stir with his first squad announcement for the German national team.
The new national coach calls up a whopping 44 players for his first training camp. Klopp divides the XXL squad into two teams for the four upcoming Nations League matches.
Eleven Debutants
There are a few surprises. With Felix Keidel, Finn Jeltsch, Hennes Behrens, Max Rosenfelder, Philipp Treu, Derry Scherhant, Yannik Engelhardt, Bambasé Conté, Younes Ebnoutalib, Vitaly Janelt, and Mika Baur, a total of eleven players are named to the DFB squad for the first time.
However, some players are also surprisingly absent. The former Liverpool coach, for example, omits World Cup participants Oliver Baumann, Leroy Sane, and Deniz Undav.
The players are divided into one squad for the home matches against the Netherlands and Greece, and another squad for the away matches against Serbia and Greece.
