FC Barcelona confirmed their dominance in La Liga with a 7-2 victory over Racing Santander.

In this match, the Catalans registered a new record. With 6.65xGoals (expected goals), the reigning champions set a new top mark. Barcelona also held the old best value with 6.44xGoals against Elche last season.

The xGoals value measures the quality of a chance on a scale from 0 to 1. The higher the probability that a shot ends up in the goal, the higher this value.

With 28 goals scored in six games, they are in second place in the all-time ranking. FC Sevilla managed 32 goals in the 1940/41 season, but the Andalusians did not win all six games.
