Long-term! Barca captain set for contract extension

Raphinha will remain with FC Barcelona long-term! As sporting director Deco confirmed, an agreement has been reached between the Spanish league leaders, who started the season flawlessly, and the Brazilian winger.

His previous contract would have run until 2028, but the new deal is set to tie Barcelona's captain to the club until 2030, as confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, among others.

The 29-year-old has been a key player in head coach Hansi Flick's team for years, having joined from Leeds United in 2022. His numbers are impressive; this season alone, he has scored eleven goals and provided three assists in seven games so far.
