Report: New Hannover coach to sign shortly
What has already been hinted at could soon become official. Hannover 96 has a new head coach.
Austrian international Benedikt Pichler will soon get a new head coach!
As "Bild" and "Sky" consistently report on Saturday, Hannover 96 has found the successor for sacked head coach Christian Titz.
Sandro Wagner is expected to take over training as early as Monday. The 38-year-old is set to sign a contract in Hannover until 2028.
Most recently with Augsburg
Wagner took over as coach at FC Augsburg in the German Bundesliga last summer. However, the former assistant coach to Julian Nagelsmann at the DFB was dismissed there again after nine defeats in 14 games.
Now he is tasked with stabilizing Hannover again and guiding them upwards as best as possible. After five rounds in the 2. Bundesliga, the club is only in 16th place.
