Good News: Baumgartner Comeback Already in October?
RB Leipzig coach Martin Demichelis is confident that the Austrian key player could return after the international break.
Christoph Baumgartner is facing an imminent return to the football pitch!
As Leipzig head coach Martin Demichelis announced at the final press conference before Sunday's Bundesliga match between the Saxons and Bayer Leverkusen (3:30 PM in the LIVE ticker), things look "pretty good" regarding the comeback of the 27-year-old Austrian national team player.
After the international break, the attacking player is expected to re-join team training in a partially integrated capacity, according to reports.
Serious Muscle Injury
Baumgartner suffered a serious muscle injury on May 31 during warm-up before the international match against Tunisia and has been sidelined ever since.
RB Leipzig will face Eintracht Frankfurt on October 10 after the international break, before another home match in the UEFA Champions League against Paul Wanner's PSV Eindhoven three days later. However, appearances there will likely come too soon.
