Premiership: Briedl wins Austrian duel
In Scotland, Alexander Briedl wins against Lukas Fadinger and a former teammate. Sallinger and Hibernian FC suffer a defeat.
In a rescheduled match from the third round of the Scottish Premiership, FC Aberdeen clearly defeated Motherwell FC 4-0 away from home.
The duel between two former teammates from their time together at FC Blau-Weiß Linz thus goes to Alexander Briedl. The 24-year-old midfielder came on for Aberdeen in the 64th minute, while Motherwell defender Martin Moormann was in the starting lineup and played the full match. Lukas Fadinger also played the entire game for the hosts.
Goals were scored by Aberdeen's Molloy (38th), Ronan (46th), Mouloua (76th), and Nisbet (87th). In the table, Aberdeen moves closer to fifth-placed Motherwell (eight points) with seven points.
Defeat for Sallinger and the "Hibs"
There was no reason to celebrate for goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger and Hibernian FC: In their home game against bottom-of-the-table FC Kilmarnock, they suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat.
Falkirk beat Heart of Midlothian 2-1.
