After Just Six Games: Baidoo's Coach Reportedly Sacked
Dino Toppmöller only took over at RC Lens at the start of the season. Now the German coach is reportedly already facing the sack.
Samson Baidoo will already have a new head coach after just the fourth Ligue 1 matchday.
As "L'Equipe" reports, Dino Toppmöller is set to be sacked after just six games at RC Lens. The former Frankfurt coach only took over at the French club in the summer.
His tenure actually started successfully: In the Supercup against Paris Saint-Germain, Lens surprisingly won 1-0. This was followed by a 5-2 opening victory in the league against Auxerre. Since then, they have suffered two defeats and one draw in the championship. In the Champions League, Toppmöller's team won 3-2 at Slavia Prague.
Toppmöller's assistant, Yannick Cahuzac, is considered his successor. According to the report, the Frenchman has already been touted as the club's future head coach in recent weeks. ÖFB international Baidoo has not yet featured this season due to a thigh injury.
