Rapid Flop Suddenly a Record Transfer
The striker never featured for SK Rapid, but Omonia Nicosia, however, made a great deal with the Moroccan.
Ryan Mmaee's time at SK Rapid was not a memorable one.
In September 2024, the Moroccan striker moved on loan from Stoke City to Hütteldorf.
However, due to persistent muscular problems, Mmaee ultimately did not play a single competitive minute for Rapid.
Champion, Top Scorer, Record Sale
Omonia Nicosia had more luck with Mmaee. The Moroccan moved to the Cypriot top club on a free transfer and immediately became champion with Omonia in his first season, as well as top scorer with 25 goals.
Omonia Nicosia wasted no time cashing in on the striker. Mexican club Atlas Guadalajara swooped in and bought Mmaee for a transfer fee of three million euros.
Thus, the former Rapid flop is now actually the new record sale of the Cypriot club.
