Moormann moves to Scotland after Blau-Weiß departure
In his new home in Scotland, Martin Moormann will also meet another Austrian international.
Martin Moormann has found a new employer.
The defender has signed with Scottish club Motherwell FC. The Lower Austrian has received a contract until June 2028 with an option for a further year at the club, which finished fourth in the past Premiership season.
After relegation with Blau-Weiß Linz, Moormann has left the Upper Austrians. The central defender has played a total of 47 games for the "Steelmen", to whom the 25-year-old moved from Rapid in the summer of 2024, scoring three goals.
Moormann Meets Another Austrian International at Motherwell
Last season, the central defender made 23 appearances for Blau-Weiß, but hardly featured towards the end of the season.
At his new club, Moormann will also meet another Austrian: Lukas Fadinger has been playing for Motherwell since summer 2025. With the "Steelmen", the Austrian duo will also participate in the UEFA Conference League qualification.
