Shock moment: English ex-international run over by lawn roller
The 35-year-old found himself in a highly dangerous situation during warm-ups but was lucky to escape serious injury.
A moment of shock involving Andros Townsend.
The former English international, who now plays for Thai club PT Prachuap FC, was hit by a lawn roller during half-time warm-ups in the match against Pattani FC (see video below).
Lucky Escape
As visible in the images, Townsend and his teammates were passing some balls around. As he elegantly plays one back, he moves into the path of the lawn roller, which runs him over.
The driver immediately jumps off to rush to the 35-year-old's aid. Townsend is quickly freed. The former Tottenham professional was lucky to escape serious injury. He remains unharmed and is even substituted into the game later.
