German Coaching Legend Peter Hermann Passed Away
The coaching icon of German football loses his long battle and passes away at 74 years old.
Peter Hermann has passed away.
The 74-year-old lost his battle against the neurological disease ALS after many difficult years. He will always be remembered, especially at FC Bayern Munich.
For decades, the German was one of the most important and well-known assistant coaches in the German Bundesliga.
For many years, Hermann served as a coach for numerous clubs in German football. In the 2012/13 season, he, along with Jupp Heynckes, achieved the first triple in the Munich club's history.
Additionally, he assisted Bayer 04 Leverkusen for over 17 years between 1989 and 2008. He only ended his coaching career in 2022 after further engagements at Schalke, HSV, and Borussia Dortmund.
