Raphinha's Masterclass! Barca's Perfect Run Continues
The Catalans still faced considerable difficulties in the first half, but over 90 minutes, the outstanding duo of Yamal and Raphinha proved unstoppable.
FC Barcelona remains unstoppable this season, with the Catalans coming from behind to beat FC Sevilla 3-1.
The "Blaugrana" had the first dangerous action, with Lamine Yamal's irresistible cut-in from the right and a curled shot towards the left corner, but Sevilla keeper Odysseas Vlachodimos made a superb save, tipping the ball onto the post.
Then, however, came a surprising lead for Sevilla, as Youssouf Fofana powerfully headed a cross towards the near post (19').
Barca Fights Back
Barca's response was swift, with Raphinha dazzling the opposing defender with a brilliant feint and striking precisely into the far right corner (22').
Nevertheless, the Catalans had their difficulties in the first half, with Sevilla creating a good chance through a volley from Felix Correia, which just went wide.
Barcelona, however, emerged much stronger from the changing room, and after good build-up play from Yamal, it was Raphinha again, this time scoring with a header (52').
Raphinha Irresistible
After that, chances were a bit scarcer, but Barca was in control, and in the 69th minute, Yamal delivered another sublime pass to Raphinha, who chipped keeper Vlachodimos to complete a perfect hat-trick.
This is already the captain's 14th goal in eight games across all competitions, and he is reportedly on the verge of a contract extension (all info >>>).
Because Dani Olmo failed to convert a good free-kick and Karim Adeyemi, who came on for Raphinha, was denied by the keeper in the closing stages, the score remained a well-deserved 3-1, largely due to the second-half performance.
With their seventh win in seven games, Barcelona leads LaLiga with maximum points, while Sevilla is in fifth place.
