Austria will henceforth be represented by a player in the top Vietnamese league.

As officially announced this week, Van-Alessandro Nguyen Skyriotis has joined Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC.

Nguyen Skyriotis is 20 years old and played for Wolfsberger AC for the past six years.

Most recently, the midfielder from Klagenfurt was active for the Lavanttal club's second team in the Regionalliga. The former ÖFB U16 national player was never part of the senior squad in the Bundesliga.

Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC is a three-time champion of Vietnam, most recently winning the title in 2025. Last season, the club finished sixth.
