Barcelona Invests Millions in Belgian Youngster
The Catalans continue to rely on young players for the future. Now, a winger from Club Brugge arrives.
FC Barcelona has signed Belgian youth player Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge.
The 18-year-old winger has signed a long-term contract with the Blaugrana until June 2031. According to media reports, a transfer fee of 8.5 million euros is expected to be paid.
Named to U17 Euros Team of the Tournament
Bisiwu first drew attention on a major stage at the U17 European Championship 2025. With Belgium, the winger reached the semi-finals and was selected for the Team of the Tournament thanks to his strong performances.
Bisiwu began his footballing education at OH Leuven before moving to Club Brugge's youth academy in 2020.
In the past two seasons, he also gained international experience in the UEFA Youth League. The attacking player made 14 appearances there and scored three goals.
