Como extends successful run with victory over Parma
The Champions League debutant moves up to second place with a home win. Roma remains at the top after beating Torino on Monday.
After a convincing 4-1 victory in their Champions League debut against RB Leipzig, Como secures a 2-1 home win against Parma Calcio in Serie A on Monday.
Defender Jacobo Ramon put coach Cesc Fabregas's side in the lead in the 23rd minute. In the final phase, Kaiki scored to make it 2-0 (83'). With the final whistle, Parma's Jose David Romero managed a consolation goal to make it 1-2 (90'+2).
With their fourth consecutive competitive victory, Como moves up to second place in the Serie A table. Parma is still waiting for a win and sits 17th with one point.
Malen scores for Roma's victory
AS Roma secures their fourth win in their fourth league game against FC Torino on Monday.
The goal scorers were Donyell Malen, who, with a bit of luck, slotted in the 1-0 goal just before halftime (40'), and Niccolo Pisilli (90'+3). Malen had provided the assist in the Champions League on Thursday in the 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce.
The Romans, who have conceded only one goal in Serie A so far, remain league leaders. Torino, Valentino Lazaro's former club, occupies 14th place.
