Philippe Coutinho signs with Neymar's club Santos
After half a year without a club, the former Liverpool attacking player will now play alongside Neymar.
Philippe Coutinho and Neymar, who played together for years in the Brazilian national team, are reunited.
After half a year without a club, Coutinho signed with eight-time Brazilian champions FC Santos until the end of 2026.
The 34-year-old attacking player was most recently under contract with his youth club Vasco da Gama. From there, he started his European career in 2010 with a permanent move to Inter.
Coutinho experienced his prime at FC Liverpool, where he scored 54 goals in 201 competitive matches. After stints at Barcelona, Bayern, Aston Villa and Al-Duhail (Qatar), the 68-time Brazilian international returned to Vasco da Gama in 2024 (initially on loan).
FC Santos is currently tenth in the league table. Neymar played twelve times (scoring six goals) in the ongoing year-long championship. The 34-year-old is currently sidelined with a thigh injury.
