New Coach for Austrian Players Wallner and Kiedl
The German has already held positions at several traditional clubs.
The two Austrian players Lukas Wallner and Peter Kiedl have a new coach at their club Hansa Rostock.
Andre Breitenreiter takes over from Daniel Brinkmann, who was released after a 0-4 defeat on the fifth matchday against Viktoria Köln.
Breitenreiter was most recently employed by Hannover 96, with his contract running until April 2025. He also previously managed Schalke, Hoffenheim, Paderborn, and Huddersfield in England.
However, he celebrated his arguably greatest success in Switzerland, when he sensationally became champion with FC Zürich in 2022.
Wallner impresses as a scorer
In the 3. Liga, Rostock is currently in sixth place with twelve points after seven matchdays.
The two Austrians, Wallner and Kiedl, have so far made six and four appearances respectively. While striker Kiedl is yet to register a goal contribution, centre-back Wallner has recorded two goals and assists.
