Virtually confirmed: Ex-Pauli coach takes over Gladbach

Even before the narrow defeat against Mainz last weekend (3:4), coach Eugen Polanski had to leave. Jan-Moritz Lichte took over on an interim basis.
Now, the new man on the sidelines is apparently confirmed - and it is neither Domenico Tedesco nor Dino Toppmöller, who until a few days ago were considered top candidates.
Three-year contract for new coach
Indeed, as reported by "Bild", former St. Pauli coach Alexander Blessin will become the new head coach at the club of Austrian international Kevin Stöger.
The 53-year-old is already in Mönchengladbach and is expected to sign a three-year contract. The official announcement by the "Foals" is still pending, but is likely only a matter of time.
