Five points after four games: This is Muslic's interim conclusion
Schalke 04 has returned to the Bundesliga with one win, two draws, and one defeat. Coach Miron Muslic is "very satisfied overall" with this.
Schalke 04 could not manage more than a 0-0 draw against fellow promoted side SV Elversberg in front of their home crowd.
Nevertheless, coach Miron Muslic expressed satisfaction at the post-match press conference: "I think the point is fine. We weren't clean enough today with the penultimate pass – but we prepared the moments beforehand well, especially in the first half. The final decisive action was then missing."
Nevertheless, the 44-year-old stated he was "not disappointed, because such games are always dangerous. Elversberg also has the quality to create many scoring opportunities. We didn't allow that either and defended very clearly and consistently in crucial actions."
Muslic: "Not easy to score against us"
After four games, the "Knappen" have five points and are therefore in eleventh place in the table. While things haven't quite clicked in attack yet, S04 is particularly strong defensively. "It's not easy to score against us. We can build on that," says Muslic.
Overall, the Austrian is "very satisfied with the first four games in the Bundesliga. We have five points and have kept two clean sheets."
However, the Schalke coach doesn't even have all his players available: "Several lads are not yet at 100 percent, but we can only reach that if they are in a match rhythm. We will improve further in the coming weeks. We will make optimal use of the international break."
One of them is Dejan Ljubicic, who was substituted due to a knee injury during last week's 3-1 away win.
