According to the club, the central midfielder has sustained a muscle injury in his left thigh and will now be sidelined for "several weeks."
Reitz only moved to the "Red Bulls" from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer for a transfer fee of 20 million euros.
Reitz had a dream start to the new Bundesliga season: Not only was he in the starting eleven, but he also immediately scored a goal in the 3-0 victory over his former club Gladbach.
