Schalke signed former Salzburg player without medical check
The transfer of the South Korean was a "last-second deal". Schalke trusts the player's statement that he is ready for action.
Hee-Chan Hwang moved from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Schalke 04 on Tuesday, in the last second before the end of the transfer window.
The former Salzburg player joins the Gelsenkirchen club, led by coach Miron Muslic, on loan with a purchase option of three million euros. The "Knappen" are not paying a fee for the loan. Due to the spontaneity, a medical check was no longer possible.
"According to his own statement, he is generally ready for action. Whether he will be part of the squad next weekend depends on the tests and impressions of the coming days. We will not do anything unreasonable," explained sporting director Frank Baumann.
