DFB Talent Rejects Salzburg Move for FC Barcelona
The German player is moving to FC Barcelona, where he will play for the B team.
FC Red Bull Salzburg misses out on a DFB talent from VfB Stuttgart.
As officially reported, Mirza Catovic (19) is moving from Stuttgart to FC Barcelona on loan. He is set to play for the B team in the fourth division there. Before the move, he extended his contract with VfB until 2029.
The midfielder has only played for Stuttgart II so far (45 games) and never for the professional team.
Rejection for Salzburg
According to "Sky" journalist Patrick Berger, Barcelona is paying a loan fee of 600 thousand Euros and has a purchase option between five to ten million Euros, depending on the German player's appearances for the B team.
He further confirms that Catovic rejected offers from Red Bull Salzburg and Cercle Brugge for the transfer.
