RB Leipzig Signs Seiwald Competitor at Deadline
The German Bundesliga club makes a move in Serie A and loans a new midfielder.
Second new signing on Deadline Day for RB Leipzig!
The German Bundesliga club secures the services of Neil El Aynaoui. The central midfielder moves from AS Roma to Leipzig on loan. The club holds a purchase option for 25 million Euros.
The 25-year-old Moroccan is the second transfer on Deadline Day, following Marc Guiu. In Leipzig, El Aynaoui is earmarked for the number six role and will thus serve as a direct competitor to Austrian international mainstay Nicolas Seiwald.
El Aynaoui was a regular starter in Morocco's midfield at the World Cup alongside new City signing Ayyoub Bouaddi. At Roma, the midfielder made 34 appearances last season (two goals, two assists). Previously, he played for RC Lens in France.
