FC Schalke 04 announces a new striker in the final stages of the transfer window. Hee-chan Hwang will move on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Gelsenkirchen.

In 2015, Hwang moved from his home country to FC Liefering; from 2016 to 2020, the striker played for Red Bull Salzburg in Austria. In the interim, he was on loan to HSV during the 2018/19 season.
