BVB coach? That's what Miron Muslic says
The Bundesliga return is on the horizon for Miron Muslic and Schalke 04. Asked about the arch-rivals, the Tyrolean makes his position clear.
Miron Muslic will not become Borussia Dortmund's coach.
The Austrian, and head coach of FC Schalke 04 (43), made this clear to "Sport Bild".
"I will definitely not go to Borussia Dortmund. Out of respect for Schalke 04 and our fans, I would never cross that red line.
Although I didn't grow up here, I can assess what is important to the people here and what is a red flag for them," said the Tyrolean.
"No one needs to knock!"
Muslic, who came to Gelsenkirchen about a year ago from English second-division club Plymouth Argyle, led the "Knappen" back to the Bundesliga.
The contract of the Bosnia-born coach runs until June 2028. The successful coach, however, wants nothing to do with an early departure – Muslic could have left in the summer via a release clause.
"No one needs to knock! I know it's a topic for the media, but Schalke 04 is my dream club."
On Sunday, Schalke 04 will face Real Madrid at home in the Veltins Arena in a friendly match.
