Bayern coach Kompany injured
Vincent Kompany's Bayern enjoyed a goal fest against Leipzig. However, the Belgian had little desire to celebrate.
FC Bayern Munich enjoyed a goal fest against RB Leipzig on Saturday. With a 6-1 victory, the Munich side shot away their Champions League frustration.

However, one person wasn't having fun: coach Vincent Kompany. Due to an infection and a hip injury, the Belgian even had to cancel a TV interview and press conference.
Sporting director Max Eberl took over the media appointments and clarified: "He had an infection during the week and a sports injury to his hip. He's currently in the coach's office, but he's doing well."
Clapping Instead of Elaborate Celebrations
Kompany could barely stay on the coaching bench throughout the entire match due to pain. Even the goals - and there were quite a few - Kompany celebrated with subdued clapping.
Even when climbing stairs, the Bayern coach needed assistance.
On Wednesday, the Champions League match against English champions Arsenal FC awaits the Munich side. Kompany will likely coach the game from the bench despite the injury. "We firmly assume that it won't be a problem for Wednesday," said Eberl.
