Arnaud Kalimuendo is reportedly on the verge of returning to Eintracht Frankfurt. According to "BILD", Eintracht and the 24-year-old Frenchman have largely agreed on another transfer.

Another loan is on the cards. Frankfurt could secure a purchase option, and a mandatory purchase clause is also possible. Some details are still open, but the deal is fundamentally on track.

From Glasner to Hütter?

Kalimuendo has been under contract with Nottingham Forest since August 2025. The English club paid around 30 million Euros to Stade Rennes at the time. However, the attacker was unable to establish himself with the "Tricky Trees".

Consequently, he went on loan to Frankfurt for the second half of last season. There, Kalimuendo certainly impressed with seven goal contributions in 19 appearances.

However, his situation has not improved since his return to Nottingham. Under new coach Oliver Glasner, the Frenchman continues to have a difficult time and was even absent from the matchday squad in the recent 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

Now Kalimuendo could return to Eintracht – and thus to another Austrian. Adi Hütter has been the coach of Frankfurt since summer 2026 and could manage the attacker in the future.

Transfer Window Closes on Tuesday

Not much time remains for the deal. Frankfurt must clarify the last open points by Tuesday at 8 PM – that's when the German Bundesliga's transfer window closes.
