Alex Schlager's Bundesliga Debut Remains Elusive

Austrian international goalkeeper Alexander Schlager will likely have to wait much longer for his first appearance in the German Bundesliga.
Werder Bremen's number one, Karl Hein, had returned from the international break carrying a knock. However, according to coach Daniel Thioune's assessment, the Estonian will be fit in time for Friday's match in Dortmund.
"As things stand, I expect Karl will also be in goal tomorrow evening," said the head coach at the press conference.
Schlager's only competitive appearance to date for his new club has been in the DFB-Pokal against LSK Hansa (3-0).
