Bayern Chiefs Met with Guardiola

Since his departure from Manchester City, coach Pep Guardiola has been without a club.

On Monday, the Catalan met in Munich for a joint dinner with Bayern bosses Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Guardiola had an appointment with sponsor Puma in Herzogenaurach and was therefore in Germany.

"A Close Friendship"

According to "BILD", the football experts at the dinner, which was also attended by Hoeneß's wife Susi and Rummenigge's wife Martina, did not discuss a Guardiola return to Bayern. It was a friendly reunion.

"It's true that we met," Hoeneß told "BILD". "Pep, Karl-Heinz, and I share a close friendship. We had a wonderful evening."

Guardiola was FCB coach between 2013 and 2016 and won three league titles and two cup victories.

Kompany Was Also Invited

Current Bayern coach Vincent Kompany, who had played under Guardiola at Manchester City, was also supposed to attend the dinner. However, the Belgian was unable to attend due to a coaching conference in Stuttgart.

Hoeneß: "We would be happy to reschedule the dinner with Vincent and Pep at the next opportunity."
