Not Barca or BVB: This club wins the race for Asllani
The Kosovan has been considered a strong candidate for departure from TSG Hoffenheim for weeks. Now, the release clause is likely to have been triggered.
Not FC Barcelona or Borussia Dortmund, but RB Leipzig is reportedly set to win the race for Fisnik Asllani.
According to "Bild", the Kosovan is on the verge of a transfer from TSG Hoffenheim to the Red Bulls. Leipzig reportedly intends to trigger the release clause, which is enshrined in his contract valid until 2029.
The stipulated transfer fee is said to be between 25 and 29 million euros, depending on the club.
Only final details remain
According to the report, only final salary details between the Champions League participant and the striker need to be clarified.
Asllani no longer appears in the squad for TSG's upcoming training camp in Seefeld. Three weeks ago, sporting director Andreas Schicker confirmed talks with clubs from Germany and abroad.
Major contribution to successful season
Last season, the 23-year-old attacker made a major contribution to Hoffenheim's Europa League qualification with ten goals and nine assists.
In the 2023/24 season, the 16-time Kosovo international played on loan for Wiener Austria.
